Take part in our research
Two years on from our launch in March 2022, we’re now ready to take the Whole Picture Toolkit to the next level.
We’re exploring the potential for developing a new version of our website, which will be easier to use and more tailored to specific production needs.
However, as we consider the needs of our users, we need your help, so our Toolkit can be the best tool possible to enable mentally healthy productions and support cultural change in the industry.
Our participant panels
We’re inviting a wide range of experienced industry professionals – representing productions of all genres and sizes, together with industry bodies – to contribute to our research to ensure the Toolkit meets the needs of our industry.
Our team will also be consulting with subject matter experts in health and safety, mental health and employment law.
Participating in the study
We’re running a series of short, remote interviews to gather feedback on the Whole Picture Toolkit, and explore the needs of industry professionals when it comes to supporting mental health on productions.
If selected to take part, you’ll receive the option of either a £20 Love2shop voucher, or a donation to the charity of your choice, as a thank you for your time.
The interviews will take place between June and August 2024 and will take between 30–45 minutes.
During the interview, you’ll meet with a member of the Toolkit team, who’ll ask you about the mental health and wellbeing support you find valuable for both yourself and your team/s.
All interview responses will be confidential, stored anonymously, and won’t be associated with any other communications or involvement you, your teams or your company have with the Film and TV Charity.

Registration is now open, and, if you’re selected to participate, we’ll confirm all allocated time slots by the end of July.
Should we receive a high volume of responses and you’re not selected for interview at this stage, please note we may still be in touch regarding further research activities later in the year, if you have submitted your interest via our registration form.
